Are you ready for the KFC console, also stylized as KFConsole? Or maybe the Bud Light console is more your thing? Whether you like fast food or not, the gaming industry keeps growing and surprising us, this time with the launch of two of the weirdest gaming consoles ever created. We’re talking about literally the coolest and hottest gaming consoles out there.
With the recent video game console launch of the PS5 and Xbox Series X, the BL6 and KFConsole join the consoles wars. More than being a competition, these two look like a perfect complement to each other for any kind of gamer out there.

Crack open a cold one
Looking like a 6-pack of beer, Bud Light’s beer console, the BL6, is the first self-cooling 6-pack gaming console ever that keeps your beer cold. Imagine arriving at the meeting with the 6-pack that’s also a gaming console, and it’s also a projector. Mind-blowing.
In addition to keeping true to its original 6-pack shape, the 3D-painted design on the BL6 is just beautiful. The amount of detail put into this coupled with very high-quality paint makes it gorgeous.
The BL6 has two of its “cans” as customized can holsters, made with thermoelectric peltiers, and wrapped in polystyrene foam to keep your beer chill anywhere. The middle cans are holders for the BL6-branded 8Bitdo N30 Pro+ controllers, while the remaining front cans are for cooling fans. Additionally, it has a built-in speaker and a projector, so you can take it everywhere, no matter where you and your mates are hanging out.
If you’re looking for specs, the BL6 is basically a Windows 10 PC equipped with an Intel i7-1065G7 CPU and Intel Iris graphics. It also has 16 GB of RAM with a built-in Asus ZenBeam 720p 500 lumens projector.

The BL6’s battery lasts for about two hours, and the projector will amaze you with impressive good quality. You can play on a screen, a wall, a rock, or even an old sheet, indoors or outdoors, and it will work just great.
The console comes with a bundle of 6 great games. This includes nothing less than Tekken 7, Soulcalibur VI, R.B.I. Baseball 20, and Broforce. The other two are filled up with exclusive BL6 games, Flashlight Freeze Tag and Six Puck.
KFC Console? Winner, winner, chicken dinner!
KFC announced the console back in June 2020, but many people thought it was a hoax. To our surprise and bewilderment, they released a teaser last month of their new tasty console, the KFConsole. The fast-food company partnered with Cooler Master to create a gaming console that’s also a chicken chamber. Nothing says ‘winner, winner, chicken dinner’ more literal than this console.
Shaped as an all-black KFC’s Bargain Bucket, the KFConsole has a built-in grill that uses the system’s heat and airflow to warm your chicken or any meal you can put there while cooling the system at the same time. How cool is that? You have to open it by finger-clicking to discover the food compartment for storage and warm up your food.

Besides the magnificent idea of the chicken warming chamber, the KFConsole actually is a very powerful gaming console. Powered by the Intel i9 10900k Extreme, equipped with Asus-powered graphics (most likely an NVIDIA GeForce RTX) and a hot-swappable GPU slot, this console is capable of running games at top-level specs, reaching a resolution of 4K at 240hz output on supported devices and 240 fps. KFC added that it also has enough tech in its system to run games in VR and ray tracing.
Thanks to a double Seagate BarraCuda 1 TB PCIe NVMe SSD hard drive that’s 6 times faster, you can forget running out of space. Games will boot instantly and even access game data while loading. Apart from that, the KFConsole has a swappable GPU slot, letting you upgrade the GPU yourself. Let’s not forget it keeps your chicken warm during extensive gaming sessions.
How to get them
With Microsoft and Sony consoles sold out in almost every country, the BL6 and KFConsole might look like they won’t be easy to get either. These are most likely made to be one-of-a-kind gaming consoles, which means that not everyone will be able to have one. Let’s say that these seem more like a collector’s item, with only a limited quantity to be made for each.
The BL6 alone went for auction at ShopBeerGear with a starting price of $1,000 and selling for a final price of $50,000. Although Bud Light said this was a unique console, there’s a suspicion that there might be 5 more consoles out in the wild thanks to a review made by TimTheTatman. The anticipated retail price of each console is $3,000.

The amount of money made with the auction is insane, but at least it is for a good cause. Bud Light stated they are donating all money from the BL6 sales to the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation’s (NRAEF) to fund the Change is on the Menu program. This is aimed to help restaurant workers get back to work and rebuild their careers that’s been affected by the pandemic.
Meanwhile, we have yet to hear about the official release date for the KFConsole. However, Fall Guys tweeted out they would be coming to the KFConsole in 2022, so this may be a hint that the console will be launching around that time. It’s also rumored to have a minimum price of around $2,000. This will, most likely, be a limited edition console as well.
Some things just go together with video games, like a cold beer or a warm, crispy fried chicken. However, with all that being said, we don’t know the exact price of these consoles yet. With the estimated pricing though, you can bet that the BL6 and KFConsole won’t be cheap and easy to get.
