We did a similar lineup at the end of 2021 and it became so popular among the readers and the team at TechAcute that we wanted to do this little exercise again this year. 2022 has been a great year for technology. We have seen some amazing products and services being released, and the world of technology has never been more exciting. As we come to the end of 2022, let’s take a look back at the most popular tech stories of the year. These are the articles that attracted the most attention from our readers and generated the most discussion online.
When it comes to deciding the top ten most popular articles on TechAcute in 2022, we took a few factors into consideration. First of all, we looked at the total number of pageviews for each article throughout the year and created a ranking system based on this. Each page view was weighted differently depending on how long readers stayed engaged with the article. In addition, we looked at the overall engagement rate for each story – that is, the number of comments and social shares that each article received. Of course, the article’s age within the year was also taken into consideration, so that an article from November has the same chances as an article from January.
In addition to looking at page views and engagement, we also wanted to make sure that all authors had a fair chance at being featured in our top ten list. That’s why we decided to limit each author to one article in the top ten. This way, no one person could monopolize the list, and everyone had an equal chance to be featured. The articles are ranked by the date of being published, not by traffic, the count of social shares, or something else. Please enjoy our 2022 retrospective.
