Vodafone and Hatch Join Forces to Stream Games over 5G

-

There is nothing more enjoyable than playing your favorite video games. Probably next to that is sharing your excitement and success with friends, family, and the wider gaming community through streaming. But how does that involve Hatch and Vodafone?

This is why the solutions that allow you to stream have become so popular in the past few years. In line with the times and the new 5G technology, the newest development is cloud gaming. This particular solution is called Hatch Cloud Gaming and is optimized for the 5G network. It is the product of cooperation between the telecommunications company Vodafone Germany and Hatch.

Hatch unlocks all capabilities of 5G network

The companies announced it as the first 5G-optimized cloud gaming service, a part of Vodafone Germany’s 5G switch-on. This service is an advanced solution that removes all obstacles for a smooth and rich game streaming experience. It allows you to seamlessly connect with friends, follow live scoreboards, and test your skills against other players in live tournaments.

It supports streaming of more than 100 games like Hitman GO, Beach Buggy Racing, Crashlands, Monument Valley, etc. The players will also have access to the exclusive Hatch Original Arkanoid Rising and Angry Birds GO! Turbo Edition. They have something for the kids too. Hatch Premium unlocks Hatch Kids, “a safe space for children to play, create, and learn”, Vodafone Germany said in a press release.

The first 5G network started operating in Germany in July 2019 and Vodafone is trying to reach 10 million people with it in 2020. The goal is to have 20 million people using the network by the end of 2021.

For now, the service is available for Android 5G-enabled devices. Players who want to try it out can already download the Hatch app from the Google Play Store. Vodafone has secured its 5G customers a 3-month complimentary access to Hatch Premium. This subscription level will cost €6.99 per month after the initial free period and users have the option to cancel it at any moment.
