The advent of digital photo frames allowed people to display multiple photos. Hong Kong-based ENIAC modernizes that technology of digital photo frames further with TICKEY, a tiny, clip-on canvas that can display any visual you want, from photos of your loved ones, personalized art, and even your business card.
Clip it anywhere, refresh display anytime
As a 3.7-inch color e-paper display designed to be a clip-on card, TICKEY can be carried as a bag charm that can be customized according to your needs. The device also supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and NFC sharing without draining the battery. Users can customize and refresh the display easily using its companion app. With the app, users have the freedom to choose what image to display and how long they want it to be displayed. They can even set a GIF to be displayed on screen.
This way, TICKEY’s customization feature also allows users to fit the display depending on the event they’re attending. Going to a gaming convention? They can display their artwork to act as both a bag charm and an advertisement for their art. Appearing at a work gathering? Users can put their business card on display and share it via NFC with potential contacts. Its interchangeable faceplates also allow users to change its look and personalize the card to suit different styles or occasions. Users can also prop it on their desktop to display photos or stick it in the fridge for meal and medicine intake reminders.
Mass production and shipping this year
TICKEY is currently available as a Kickstarter campaign, and it has gone past its goal of $1,274. As of this writing, the campaign has already reached pledges worth over $700,000, and still has a few more days to spare before it closes. For those interested, the most affordable reward available at the moment is the KS Special priced at $49.90. After it closes, the e-paper display will be scheduled for shipping by this November.
