Exciting news for console addicts all over the world: a new installment of the ever-popular stealth game is coming out this year, and we bet you’re going to love it. We’re talking about HITMAN 2, the follow-up to HITMAN, which came out in 2016, and fans have been eager to become part of Agent 47’s new adventures ever since.
HITMAN 2 is coming out on November 13, 2018, and you will be able to play it on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, as well as its competitors, the Xbox One family including the Xbox One X and, of course, PC. Please note that this report is not about Hitman 2: Silent Assassin which was published in 2002 by Eidos Interactive.
In the game, developed by the independent game developer, IO Interactive, and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, alike in its predecessor, you take on the role of a skilled assassin with a genetically engineered body and mind.
The new installment takes the player “on a global adventure across a mix of bustling Miami setting with the colorful ambiance of an in-progress motorsport race bringing a new backdrop to the series. From sun-drenched streets to dark and dangerous rainforests, each intricate location provides multiple paths to discover and unparalleled game depth.” Sounds like a real treat.
“As you would expect with any Hitman game, HITMAN 2 features hyper-detailed sandboxes full of living, breathing environments to explore and gives you the freedom to plan the ultimate assassination utilizing an assortment of tools, weapons, disguises and stealth techniques to creatively trigger your own unique chain of events,” the announcement reads.
The story follows Agent 47 on a mission to hunt the mysterious Shadow Client and unravel his militia. But, when our assassin learns some secret details about his past, everything changes. The innovations that the newest Hitman game brings include new ways to play with the Sniper Assassin mode, a feature that enables two players to work together online to defeat their targets. If you don’t feel like enjoying this co-op experience, Sniper Assassin can also be played in a single player mode.
If you can’t wait for November, you can play Sniper Assassin now as an early access bonus if you pre-order the HITMAN 2 Standard, Silver, Gold or Collector’s Edition. As another generous pre-order bonus, the consumers who buy Gold or Collector’s Edition will have early access to full game four days before release. The standard edition will cost $59.99.
