Simplify Rechargeable Battery Handling with the Ostation X

True, this gadget might not be useful for everyone, but those who frequently go about recharging batteries might love this new product. This “Ostation X” is a 3-in-1 smart battery charger, tester, and organizer by Olight.

Smart charging with the Ostation X

It combines the functions of charging batteries, testing them, and organizing them in one device. Ostation X is designed for charging and storing 32/36 rechargeable AA/AAA Ni-MH batteries, offering automatic charging, double charging speed, and 8-layer protection.

We did not have the opportunity to test the product out ourselves, so we report only on what is being communicated by Olight. The Ostation X is a crowdfunding project and could or could not become a finished product.

So, no matter what you need rechargeable batteries for, you just drop them in the top hatch of this tower, and they get charged in a smart way when it’s their turn. No need to think about it either.

You use the ones that come out fully charged at the bottom and one by one; its mechanism lets the next batteries charge. And beyond these functions and features, the Ostation X also looks good as it stands there doing its job.

It also has some interesting features, such as ensuring safety is a priority and the ability to “daisy-chain” several units. I also found it interesting that they plan to offer an app to monitor major functions and figures, such as how many batteries got charged.

At first glance, it could appear as if they have one product that works with both AA and AAA size rechargeable batteries, but actually, there is one version of the Ostation X per type, so you will need to decide on one or get both. However, both versions can be powered via USB Type-C cable, so you’ll not need any special cables.

Olight plans to sell the Ostation X at around $165.98 MSRP and launch the regular sales phase around October-November later this year. As we mentioned at the start, this might not change the world for all, but it might be a revelation for those who frequently need to handle rechargeable batteries.
