Pozio Cradle: The Smartphone Charger That Supports Your Privacy

-

We are constantly surrounded by technology to help us do anything we require from it, from doing our jobs to even helping us monitor our sleeping habits. As with all good things, there are also negatives to using technology, such as the risk of getting hacked. This has increased the general public’s fear of technology.

Cofounders David Nickel and Bruce Cleland understand a user’s need to protect their privacy. In 2020, they created a Vancouver-based company called Pozio to address this issue. Recently, they’ve announced their latest product, the world’s first phone charger that prevents eavesdropping called Pozio Cradle.

How Pozio Cradle works

Nickel is aware that most, if not all, smartphone users keep their devices nearby, from the time they wake until they sleep. He says that “if our phones were people, they would hear our most private conversations and know everything about us, including our financial condition and health. Getting sensitive information into the wrong hands might be troublesome.” To avoid that from happening, the Pozio Cradle secures your phone with Listening Blocker Technology.

The Pozio Cradle basically blocks a smartphone’s ability to “listen” while it is charging. Users can access, summon, and speak commands to their smart assistants normally by saying “Pozio Stop” so it stops the blocker technology for 30 seconds.

Since it does not have the capabilities to connect to the internet or store data, Pozio Cradle ensures privacy. Apart from that, it is compatible with any phone size, allows for wireless charging.

While there’s also the option to simply switch off your phone’s microphone and smart assistant, that also means that you lose the convenience of having those capabilities on. Pozio Cradle allows you to continue utilizing your phone to the fullest while still securing your privacy. The device is now available in black and white colors for $199.
