I originally come from an IT Service Management (ITSM) world. Even though I spook around in different spheres a lot nowadays, I still find myself enjoying articles and presentations about new concepts, methodologies, and practices in this realm.
In my opinion, the ITSM Crowd show is one of the most underappreciated pieces of professional IT management media out there today. Think of it as an ITSM video podcast but technically it is a Google Hangout with an industry expert that is live-streamed and then published on YouTube. Secret industry wisdom – with cool speakers – for free! 😀
Can you be a mentor to someone in an Agile world?
In this particular episode that I have chosen, Claire Agutter, the host, has invited Kat Turner, Patricia Speltincx and Michelle Major-Goldsmith to talk about mentoring in an Agile world. They discuss how the practice of being a mentor to a mentee can be successfully carried out even though we are nowadays working in self-directing teams and operating short feedback loops.
I hope you enjoy the talk and company. If you found this useful and interesting, please feel invited to leave them a thumbs-up on the video and consider subscribing to their YouTube channel. They also do great stuff on Twitter and other social media channels, so – check them out and stay up to date in the ITSM world. Enjoy! 😉
