Mecha: About Giant Robots in Pop Culture [Video]

-

Mecha is the Japanese term which is more or less known for giant robots. Whether these are manned and human-operated (Neon Genesis Evangelion) or moving on their own without a pilot (Transformers), watching these huge technological beasts is somehow quite beautiful on its own.

The concept of these huge robots has been around for quite some time and has had its ups and downs, but it’s true that many movies, books, and maybe even serious designs are derived from the concept of a Mecha.

In the video we wanted to share with you today you can watch Anime expert Gigguk who is talking on YouTube about the rise and fall of those giant robots. If you enjoy this video, make sure to leave him a thumbs-up, or support him on Patreon.
