From tires to sun visors, companies are using technology to make quality-of-life improvements for vehicles to help create a safer traveling experience. This includes windshields, and while these are susceptible to dust and debris, their wipers get damaged due to exposure to fine dust, tire dust, tar, insects, and other elements. These eventually damage both the wipers and the windshield, which will, in turn, affect safety while driving in low visibility during rainy days. To solve this problem, a Korean manufacturer of wiper blades called Kimblade created a blade with nanotech to reduce these damages.
The Kimblade Nano Silicone Wiper Blades are the third generation of wipers created by the company. It is a rectangular blade designed with a four-bar-linkage structure to reduce noise while wiping a windshield. These blades are available in four beautiful colors: black, red, yellow, and pink. These can also be customized according to the needs of the user.

Normal vs. nano
The blade of a regular wiper blade is usually made of rubber, causing recurring damage. As the name suggests, Kimblade Nano Silicone Wiper Blades are made of silicone, which helps repel water easily and resist structural deformity. Another noticeable difference is that a regular blade has a narrow base that looks like an inverted triangle. Meanwhile, the bottom surface of Kimblade’s wipers is wide, has higher endurance, and can also change directions easily compared to a regular wiper blade.
A standard blade usually has a blunt tip, which eventually creates noise and scratches on the windshield. With Kimblade Nano Silicone Wiper Blades, the blades are reinforced by carbon nanotube and graphene to increase sustainability and avoid any scratches or damage on the surface of the windshield. This also makes the wiping action more efficient, providing a clearer, safer view of the road while driving.
The force generated by a standard blade when wiping is dispersed due to its overall structure. This makes it weak and leaves stains on the windshield. Meanwhile, the force generated by the Kimblade Nano Silicone Wiper Blades is concentrated and strong, with its single-edge surface contact. The company also has a Find My Car option on its website, where you can find your car’s brand and choose the right kind of wiper suitable for it.

Bundle and pricing
The company had recently and successfully concluded its Kickstarter and Indiegogo campaigns for the Kimblade Nano Silicone Wiper Blades. The campaigns had offerings with a Self Healing bundle, which included a windshield cleaner wipe, a windshield treatment wipe, and the blades. The windshield cleaner wipe helps remove nano dust particles and oil, while the treatment wipe adds a thin graphene coating on the windshields, which is water repellent.
Those who availed of the Kimblade Nano Silicone Wiper Blades during the campaign period on both websites can expect shipping to start in June 2021. Meanwhile, for those who are waiting to purchase these wipers, the company has the second generation of wipers available. The Rectangular Silicone Wiper Blade KB9P costs $28.80, while the silicone wipers are replaceable and cost $25.00.
