Shanghai Qingying E&T LLC ventured out into the world of portable microscopy, starting from the iMicro Q in 2018, followed by iMicro C in 2019. Soon enough, in 2020, there was iMicro Q2 that only weighed 0.5g and measured 3.2mm. After almost three years, they’re introducing their latest product in the form of iMicro Q2p.
While the iMicro Q2p is not the first fingertip microscope from the company, it is a breakthrough in portable microscopy nonetheless. This fingertip microscope is the first smartphone polarizing microscope and has a magnification power of up to 800x, paving the way to view the world invisible to the naked eye.

Shanghai Qingying E&T LLC described iMicro Q2p as a tiny, lightweight, excellent-performing optical pro-polarizing microscope. It is also easy to use; just plug iMicro Q2p on your smartphone’s camera, and you’re ready to explore the world through a microscopic lens.
The most obvious and interesting feature of the iMicro Q2p is its size which is as big as a fingertip. It is super lightweight, scaling for about 0.5g and measuring a thin 1.8 inches. It also comes inside a card-sized container that measures 60 x 90mm.
Rather than its magnifying power, the resolution is one of the essential features of a microscope. iMicro Q2p is tested with the USAF 1951 resolution test chart, performing well and showing clear test bars even with an interval at 2.19 micrometers.
iMicro Q2p has enhanced focusing control and comes with a focusing stand. This portable microscope also has a magnification power of up to 800x and resolution power down to 1 micron.
The iMicro Q2p costs about 1% of a desktop microscope. This innovative portable microscope with a precise display capability with almost low distortion similar to a desktop microscope and a low profile of approximately 1.8 inches and ~1/60 oz lightweight.
