From students to hobbyists, exploring the microscopic world has been a part of our civilization since the first microscope was invented in the late 1600s. This curiosity has now taken many modern shapes.
The global microscope market saw a 6.9% CAGR growth from 2020 to 2021. One of the primary reasons for the growth of this market was the COVID-19 pandemic. Factors such as the increasing global connectivity and its complexities are constant driving factors that keep people curious about the world.
The microscope market is estimated to grow by 7.97% this decade. Investing in this market is Microscope World from Hong Kong which recently made a buzz on Kickstarter with their campaign. They reached their goal within three hours of launching their B1600 electric microscope.

B1600’s microscopic capabilities
The B1600 comes with a 9-inch touchscreen. You can fold its screen and connect it to a computer or laptop with a USB port. This can work across all operating systems, including smartphones and tablets.
It has a 4,000mAh battery and can work for 8-10 hours. The device has a standby of 10 days and uses a USB type C port for charging. The B1600 is weather tolerant as it can be operated at a temperature between 14℉ to 140℉. Since the device is also portable, you can easily take it outdoors.
The microscope can zoom into the microscopic world such as plant and animal cells, and microorganisms like bacteria. You can adjust the height of the B1600 for a deeper zoom with the real-time view of the slide shown on the screens.

Optical zoom on B1600 microscope
The microscope’s biggest feature is its amplification ability which can help in industries such as jewelry and other manufacturing work. It has three lenses that provide three levels of optical zoom: 100X, 800X, and, 1600X. The B1600 lets users view their jewelry and microcircuit. The optical zoom also works well with displaying tiny circuits and you might also try repairing them.
The company released its prototype in 2021 and has made more than $165,000 on Kickstarter. Currently, the B1600 is also available on Indiegogo for preorder, starting at $249.
