Ecocapsule: A New, Sustainable Way to Live

-

The Ecocapsule is a fully self-sustained portable house that you can buy, and it’s even cheaper than full-fledged houses in some countries at under $90,000. Its got enough space to house two people with a minimalistic interior of a simple hotel.

But the most interesting thing about the Eco-capsule isn’t how cheap it is; it’s how this thing creates its own electricity using solar panels lined on its roof and a wind turbine that generates energy. The capsule even has its own water system where it gathers and filters rainwater to be used later on. Another interesting about this is that, as the entire home is built like a single unit, you can control using just a single app.

Sustainable, portable house

According to the official website, the Ecocapsule is a self-sustaining home that can rely only on solar and wind power for energy. This compact home enables off-grid living under specific conditions for people who dream of just going away from everything and living in peace.

The Ecocapsule’s body is made of insulated fiberglass shells overlaid on a steel framework. It’s for a low-noise wind turbine with a power output of 750Watts. Apart from that, there are high-efficiency solar panels as well that generate a peak output of 880Watts. There are smart home sensors on the entire capsule and a smartphone interface system to control it all. It even comes with a data network connection as well.

Designers can even create products specifically for the capsule, from its furniture to power systems and storage units. If the design meets the company criteria, they’ll even endorse it themselves. The Ecocapsule can be connected to external grids as well, but that would take away from the self-sustenance it’s trying to provide in the first place.

One of the great things about Ecocapsule is that it can be placed anywhere as it doesn’t require any sort of building permit. You may still need permission from the landowner or relevant authorities, though. You’ll also need to get used to the rather small space inside.

The eco-friendly movement has been getting very popular recently, and for a good reason, the Earth has given so much to us. It’s about time we let it breathe a little. The Ecocapsule was part of the Slovak pavilion at the Dubai 2020 Expo and has appeared on major news outlets worldwide as an innovative product to live in.
