Ready Player One, a new science-fiction flick by Steven Spielberg is about to hit the theatres on March 30. Ernest Cline’s book of the same name was the source for this new movie. The trailer looks like it will pick up on the VR trend and sneak its way into the gamer culture. This can either become an ultimate geek-fest and win the heart of the fans, or it will be forgotten quickly like other movies that tried this kind of approach.
I’m not going to speculate on its success, but I wanted to share the trailer, which I found really delightful. I even spotted some appearances of game heroes we all love, such as Tracer from Blizzard’s Overwatch, Chun-Li from Street Fighter and the DeLorean from the Back to the Future movies.
