Earlier today the Tencent Online Media Group announced the plan to form a strategic partnership with Dentsu Aegis Network to work on smart data access joints, establishing one big data ecosystem in China, by combining their separated silos into one sphere.
The benefit for Dentsu Aegis will be the ability to leverage Tencent data in order to extend and improve their programmatic buying facilitation and analyzing their customers’ brand experience and attitude.
“In the past, some companies built their own large data assets without considering that such platforms are actually isolated from each other. In addition, these companies did not have clear models for data application,”… “We are delighted to be able to collaborate with Dentsu Aegis in building an integrated data ecosystem that allows advertisers to more effectively reach their target audience, while setting industry standards and best practices for the markets.”
– Steven Chang, Corporate Vice President, Tencent
Tencent has a strong data management backbone and a good data structure that allows for such cooperation without reinventing the wheel. With all these pieces in place, Dentsu Aegis will be able to offer advertisers a very strong communication targeting, tied to a very high likelihood of matching an ad to the interest and demand of a user and future customer.
