Husqvarna is one of the leading manufacturers of modern robotic lawnmowing systems. Their solution range includes autonomous drones for professional use as much as for consumers. Lawnmowing might not be an activity relevant for everyone, but the Solea concept showcases how Husqvarna envisions not only residential drone mowing in the future but being integrated with a broader smart city system to manage parks sites and other green facilities autonomously by leveraging advanced robotics.
How could Husqvarna Solea work?
The Solea concept was first presented in 2017 and showcases the Husqvarna vision for smart mowing in the year 2030. They state, “the autonomous concept includes sensors, and nine hovering robotic mowers, powered by battery technology and artificial intelligence, carried by a self-transporting drone. When all nine robots work together, it has a cutting capacity of 3sqm/second.” Let’s see what the future might bring.
