Today I want to share a really interesting looking sci-fi short-film with you, which I found on YouTube. It’s called Hyperlight and was released on April 3rd, 2018 at shortoftheweek.com. It was also screened on the opening night at Sci-Fi London International Film Festival on May 1st, 2018. It is now readily available for you on the DUST channel on YouTube and of course embedded below.

More about the story

The production company Second Tomorrow Studios describes the short-films synopsis in the following way, “an astronaut, caught in a temporal paradox that may have destroyed both the man she loves and the earth she remembers, must solve the paradox or lose everything.” The YouTube video’s description by DUST explains, “two elite astronauts wake up in the abyss of space; they return to their stranded ship and discover the surprising reason behind their mission’s catastrophic failure.”

This beautiful short-film was directed by Nguyen-Anh Nguyen who you can follow on Twitter or visit the official website with information about past and future projects. If you’d like to check for all the people involved, you should check out their IMDB entry as well. There is also a plan for a VR experience of Hyperlight, and that should indeed be exciting but for now, enjoy the clip below!
