Robots That Lend a Helping Hand in Kitchens

-

Robots that offer a helping hand in kitchens are becoming increasingly popular. The robotic market is installing these robots on both small and large scales. While the food robotics market takes care of the picking, packaging, and stacking food and beverages, the cooking robotics market deals with cooking the meals.

The robotic kitchen market is diverse and has a lot of room for innovation. Whether bartending in Los Angeles by the Tipsy robot or serving a warm cup of coffee in Singapore by Ella the robotic barista, the market has had ideas and robotic applications. Here are other companies aiming to help automation in the food industry.

MiFood

One such automation solution for restaurants and agriculture comes from a Madrid-based company, MiFood. They focus on empowering restaurants and farms through automation.

The company aims to adhere to the safety and hygiene of the food, especially after the COVID-19 global outbreak. The lockdowns have also affected the economies of many businesses, especially restaurants. The MiFood robot can cook and serve beverages, helping restaurants reduce labor costs by 50% while adhering to food safety and hygiene.

Miso Robotics

Miso Robotics is another example of robotics being used in the kitchen and is also one of the leading players in this market, as per Global Market Estimates. Based in California, this company provides Robots-as-a-Service to restaurants. Their newest product, Flippy 2, is a robotic arm specializing in automated frying. It can fry onion rings, fries, and chicken, among other foods.

Another automation solution provided by Miso Robotics is called Sippy. This robot dispenses beverages that can come in handy in a drive-through situation. Once orders are received, the bot drops the cups into the corresponding holders that run on a conveyer belt. It can handle tasks like customizing all the drinks, pouring them into the cups, and sealing them.

Kuka AG

According to the market study conducted by Allied Market Research, the global food robotics market is estimated to be a $5.78 billion industry by 2031. It is expected to have a CAGR growth of 10.4% this decade. Food robotics deals with the food and beverage industry. One of many key players in this market is Kuka AG, a company headquartered in Augsburg, Germany, that brings industrial solutions to large-scale businesses. The company provides automation solutions, including robotic solutions, to the market.
