Popwork: Making Meetings Meaningful for Managers and Their Teams

-

Popwork, supported by Région Île-de-France and Bpifrance, was launched in 2020 with an 8-man team. Although new in the market, its design focuses on bringing value to managers and team members. The brand’s saying, “For teams, by teams,” shows how a company can adapt to the emergence of remote and hybrid work.

The platform helps managers and their teams manage their work efficiently. They can use it to prepare for meetings, keep track of activities, and avoid missing 1-on-1 catch-ups. It also creates better engagement between team members as everyone can offer feedback to build a more productive team.

Utilizing the app

Performance management and OKR? As a manager, you can easily collaborate with your team members. Meanwhile, your team members can easily update you on their progress on their weekly goals on the Popwork app. By bringing each member up-to-date on their progress, the app helps improve each individual employee’s performance while enhancing teamwork.

You can start by sharing a Popwork workspace with a team member. Here, you can create check-in questions and view all the member’s answers to these questions. You can add your comments on their answers, know their roadblocks and challenges, and ask for suggestions on what they want to discuss. The best part about it is that the member gets email notifications on the talking points you’ve added during your conversations, keeping them up-to-date.

Most importantly, you can add a topic for discussion to your 1-on-1 weekly meeting. Using this feature on Popwork allows you and your team to come prepared during the meeting, avoiding wasting time not knowing what you’ll talk about.

That doesn’t end there. You can also add the next steps regarding the topic of your meeting. For instance, you plan to collaborate with an influencer who will advertise your brand. You can add “Contact Miss Influencer” to the steps and assign it to your team. Once completed, they can check it off from the list. Since it’s visible to you and your team, you can eliminate the need to ask for progress on the task through Popwork.

With Popwork, teams will have a clearer view of what is expected of them or the objective and key results of each project. It also gives managers a gauge of what all the team members feel about their workload and pending actions.

At the moment, the Popwork app is available for 8€ per month, per user. There is also a free 30-day trial for those who want to give this app a test run. For an enterprise, you’ll need to contact them for a quotation that will fit you and your company’s needs.
