Neura Robotics Introduces Personal Robot Assistant, MiPA

-

We have become increasingly reliant on machines for menial tasks as we try to do more meaningful tasks that improve our quality of life. At times, machines do the heavy lifting with time-consuming tasks to help us achieve targets faster. We’ve seen leaps in the robotics field from cooking assistants to dancing robots. Neura Robotics offers a new solution with My Intelligent Personal Assistant, or MiPA, that’s designed to help with “repetitive, tiring, or unsafe tasks”.

Assisting in every setting

Designed to be adaptable, MiPA offers not only private assistance at home but industrial assistance as well. Businesses can count on this robot to autonomously perform processes fed into it. Powered by intuitive AI, users can adjust the robot’s tasks accordingly, such as doing household chores or interacting in a public setting.

The robot can easily be connected to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, while supporting safe touchless human detection. MiPA is equipped with a range of environmental sensors, including temperature, humidity, GPS, cameras, infrared, ultrasonic sensors, and webcams. It also facilitates multi-language voice commanding, hand gesture control, and customizable touch screens.

There are additional attachments available for the MiPA to perform different roles. Options include a shelf, table, hook, clip system, backpack, and robotic tool changers. Motion endurance lasts 4 to 8 hours, depending on how heavy the usage is. It has 18 DoF, offering independent ways it can move or rotate. At the moment, consumers can reserve MiPA for €100, the full price being €9,999. As per the company, availability is limited at the moment.

Integrating robots into everyday use

Neura Robotics is just one of the many companies out there that provide robots to assist humans. By now, we’ve seen how robotics can help in different industries such as manufacturing, education, and healthcare. The dream of having robots work side by side with us might still be a bit daunting to handle, but solutions like MiPA show us that relying on technology this way can help us focus more on the important things in life.
