Design an App Concept for the Chance to Win $20,000

-

One of the world’s leading premium office paper companies, Navigator, is celebrating 25 years of innovation and invites you to a challenge to win up to $20,000.

This is a great opportunity for all kinds of creative people and problem solvers to brainstorm, ideate and design a solution that will be turned into a real product.

The app-to-paper challenge

So, what do you need to do in order to participate in Navigator’s app-to-paper challenge? Navigator is looking for app ideas that could promote the use of office paper.

Paper is a 2000-year-old medium and, of course, they are looking for ways to stay in touch with people and companies that increasingly work on digital platforms. And they are looking for your top ideas on what an app should deliver, to nurture the use of high-quality paper from sustainable sources.

Have a cool idea for such an app? Submit it on their website for a chance to win one of the prizes.

What can you win?

The best of all submitted ideas will get a prize of $20,000. The second entry will be rewarded with $7,500, and the third place will get $2,500. That’s a lot of money considering that anyone can just submit an idea entry for free.

The best idea will be transformed into a development project with a budget of up to $35,000. If you’re a developer and already have an idea you can also give it a shot.

If you’re working in a creative industry or plan to have a career in design and problem solving, being confirmed winner of this challenge would also make for a great addition to your CV. I think that’s an excellent reward next to the monetary prize.

Is this a green company?

I know what you think. Why on earth should there be a motion to use paper instead of saving paper?

It’s easily explained, Navigator has a strong focus not only on quality and performance but also on sustainability.

They operate one of Europe’s largest forestry plant nurseries and have an annual production capacity of about 12 million certified plants of various types. All these are nurtured and planted to renew Portugal’s woodlands.

If you’d like to know more about their plan for sustainability, please be invited to check the video below for more info.

Don’t forget

Whether you’re a Design Thinking team or a single individual, anybody, over 18 years old, can participate. Make sure to check out details about this challenge on their website now!

You can submit your ideas until the 8th of October 2017. Have fun and good luck!
