Today we got a short but interesting clip for you from the FUNKER530 channel on YouTube. In the video description, they report that this footage was now released by the US Army and showcases new technology for better visual information through mixed reality gear. It looks a bit like a funky filter on Photoshop, but it certainly helps to improve safety to increase visual capabilities like this.

They state that this solution is enabled by the “Enhanced Night Vision Goggle-Binoculars (ENVG-B) Enhanced Vision System (EVS), which is a worn optical device that uses augmented reality to visually identify targets and terrain features in low light situations.” and that it has been developed by L3Harris. Naturally, there could potentially also be very interesting civilian use-cases for such a technology, once fully tested.
