Certainly, I’m not one to lecture you about the importance of good sleep. Jeff Iliff, Neuroscientist at the Oregon Health and Science University, definitely knows better reasons about why you should get a good night’s sleep.
In this TED Talk (TEDMED), Jeff talks about a newly discovered, critical function of the brain that helps to cleanse toxic proteins during sleep as a natural process. Highly interesting and very likely a little bit more reasonable than what your mom has told you about sleep. Stay healthy!
