Introducing the LomoMod No.1 DIY Cardboard Camera with Liquid-Filled Lens

-

Photography has been more prominent in our day-to-day life, with the emergence of social media like Instagram and camera improvement in our smartphones. From photographing each meal to taking selfies, people use photography to express themselves and share their experiences with other people. In fact, people even almost literally bend backwards to find creative ways to enhance their photos organically.

Well, photographers and enthusiasts can rejoice with the newest product of Lomography: the LomoMod No.1. It’s a DIY analog cardboard camera that sets itself apart with the new Sutton’s liquid-filled lens.

Create unique effects

This new camera features a unique lens that you can fill with any liquid like juice, coffee, or tea from a syringe to produce unique aesthetic effects. Basically, you can produce the liquid photo of your dreams. This way, you can create unique and unpredictable effects and colors without using filters.

Easy to assemble

The new LomoMod itself is an environmentally-friendly product made from cardboard, sort of like a Nintendo Labo but a camera. It will be shipped as a flat-packed sustainable cardboard that you’ll need to assemble. Assembling the camera is just like origami so you don’t require screws or glue for this.

The cardboard camera offers doubled-sided matte black and UV pattern options. You can completely customize this DIY camera to fit your own sensibilities with its endless modification options.

Meanwhile, the lens comes with a shutter and aperture unit. It also comes with both normal and bulb modes with support for long exposures. In addition, it has customizable aperture plates for creating unique, beautiful bokeh.

Aside from all these, the design also includes a tripod mount, PC-Sync, and cable release socket. This way you can sync up your flash and shoot at night.

The whole set is an invitation to experiment with film and explore the magic in a unique experience within the analog photography. The set includes:

  • 11 Sheets of Cardboard Cutouts
  • 1 Sheet Aperture Plates Set
  • Sutton Lens Module
  • Aperture and Shutter Module
  • 120 Film Spool
  • Tripod Nut
  • Tube
  • Syringe
  • Valve
  • Colorful Stickers
  • Photo Book & User Manual

The Lomography LomoMod No.1 is available to pre-order for $59. While it already started shipping to Hong Kong, Japan, and Europe, it won’t start shipping to the USA until early November 2019, which is pretty much already here anyways.
