We’ve seen how robotics has evolved over the past few years, from the development of a wheelchair that offers mobility with a robotic arm to having robot baristas serving up coffee autonomously. HUENIT is no exception to the roster of growing robot products out there that offers a variety of uses, including a 3D laser, 3D printer, and more.

Features
HUENIT is a robotic arm that uses AI to do a number of things that can help creators bring their imagination to reality. Equipped with WiFi and Bluetooth options, users can link their devices to the robot and control it wirelessly. It also has a built-in vacuum pump, creating a suction tool with an available suction cup of 5mm, 10mm, and 15mm.
Here are some of the major features of the HUENIT.
AI Camera
The HUENIT’s AI camera comes with a 64-bit processor, and all accelerators support real-time image recognition. It also has a voice recognition option with a robust microphone. Once the photo is identified by the tool, it never forgets it.
Moreover, its voice recognition performance is also exceptional. It perfectly identifies any sounds. HUENIT’s camera can be connected to open-source hardware such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and UART port. It has the following specs:
- 2M pixel camera
- 30 fps real-time machine vision with TensorFlow
- 2.4″ Touch Display
- 0.5w speaker and mems mic
- 60 RGB led matrix (LED animation)

3D Printer module
The HUENIT is nifty for small prints and works the same as any 3D printer. The tool is attached to the robot arm, which has a 40W heater and dual cooling system to help with the printing process.
- Auto-functioning system
- Dual fan cooling system
- 40W Hotend heater
- PLA/ABS/TPI
Laser module
The HUENIT’S high-power laser can cut and engrave on a number of materials, including plywood, leather, and fabric. This is mostly useful for those who design personalized materials.
- 2500mW high-power laser
- Engraving and cutting on materials including MDF/Balsa/paper/fabric/leather/plywood/foam paper/Anodized Aluminium

Pen-holder module
This robotic arm can also help in creating drawings, calligraphy, and more with its pen-holder module. All HUENIT needs is a pen or any writing materials to do its task. This can be helpful to illustrators or designers who need to create multiple reiterations of a certain drawing.
- Drawing and writing tool
- Supports all pens under 15mm in diameter
Creator module
Finally, for those who need a different tool that’s not part of any of the pre-determined modules, HUENIT has the creator module. Specifically used for customized modules, this encourages users to create their own modules for any purpose they need, like a phone holder.
- User customization tool
- M3 bolt Hole
- 24V, 5V power output
- Serial communication port

Final thoughts
Personally, I think that the HUENIT provides multiple opportunities, especially in utilizing the pen-holder to write or draw when needed. While it is priced at a whopping $1,199, the features are promising enough.
At the moment, HUENIT has been successfully backed at both Kickstarter and Indiegogo. It’s expected to ship out during the latter half of 2022.
