Rocket 1 Is a Top-Down 3D Printer with Multi-Color Support

-

HITRY delivers a new kind of 3D printer and they claim that the Rocket 1 is the world’s fastest of its kind. Printing has seen its share of technological advancements with the rise of 3D printing. Since its introduction, we’ve seen all kinds of innovations done with the technology, from 3D printing corneas for transplant to making your own chocolate design.

These days, we’re seeing a rise in the use of resin in designing, so it’s no surprise that it will also make its way into the technology like Michelin’s puncture-free prototype tires. HITRY is trying its hand at utilizing resin in 3D printing with Rocket 1 which boasts itself as the world’s fastest top-down resin 3D printer.

Fast 3D printing using resin with the Rocket 1 from HITRY

Rocket 1 is a fast 3D printer, a prediction that we’ve previously had for the future of 3D printing. In fact, it is able to print at 380mm/h. So, no need to wait and worry because your 3D design can get printed in just a few minutes.

It’s not just its speed that is impressive. The Rocket 1 is made to create a professional, high-resolution model which can be of use for creating accurate models for architecture, scientific research, and more.

Another advantage of Rocket 1 is its durability as it can project the light from the top of the machine down to the resin surface and cure it. There are no replaceable screen or release films required. As a result, it would likely cause lower power consumption and less waste, making it environmentally friendly to use. Apart from that, it has a life expectancy of more than 18,000 hours.

Characterized by its top-down design, Rocket 1 turns the bottom-up printing method upside down by utilizing top-down printing to sink the curing model down into the resin instead of pulling it up to avoid the influence of gravity and peeling forces.

Rocket 1 also offers 8 different types of resin so you can have several options to choose from. As of this writing, the device is available on Kickstarter. While it has currently gone way beyond its goal with more than $850,000 worth of pledges made, there are still a few days to pledge and get yourself this 3D printer. However, it will set you back a whopping $699.
