As we are currently in the second month of the new year, the number of newly launched smartphones is rising. Just last month, Samsung unveiled its new flagships, including the Galaxy S21 and S21+. This time around, DOOGEE, a Chinese company that mostly makes budget phones, has revealed its new smartphone.
The company launched its latest phone, the DOOGEE S88 Plus. This phone is a new version of the S88 Pro launched back in 2020 and comes with a couple of improvements that I’ll explain below.
The “Iron Man” among smartphones
DOOGEE is a company that aims to deliver high-quality and robust rugged smartphones that are affordable for everyone. Its latest device, the DOOGEE S88 Plus comes with a very durable design, which is the reason why many people call it the “Iron Man” among smartphones. Besides having a unique design with colored notification LEDs, it’s also the only smartphone with two keys that can be customized for different Android functions.
The S88 Plus has 128GM of internal storage and, compared to the Pro version that has 6GB of RAM, this has 8GB. This allows the phone to have an even better performance. Also, the DOOGEE S88 Plus comes with a Samsung AI Triple Camera system, consisting of a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and an 8MP depth camera. The S88 Plus also improves the network coverage, so users will notice a significant expansion and a larger number of supported global frequency bands. Moreover, the phone features a 10,000 mAh battery which can provide 10-15 days of normal use.
This rugged phone is built for intensive outdoor use and it has been tested in all conditions to ensure its resistance. The S88 Plus has been tested to be drop-proof up to 1.5 meters in height and it’s also waterproof up to 2 meters in depth. The hard and soft rubber of the phone also creates a protective shield for the phone.
Of course, the heart of the S88 Plus is its processor. In this case, we have the Helio P70 processor, incorporating an Arm Cortex-A73/A53 octa-core CPU complex with an Arm Mali-G72 class GPU. This makes the phone much faster than those with a P60 processor. It also runs on Android 10 OS and offers plenty of features for everyday and outdoor use. There are applications for adventurous walkers such as a compass, sound meter, height measure, and more.
All things considered, the DOOGEE S88 Plus is a top-notch smartphone, ideal for adventurists and outdoor lovers. It has high-end specifications that allow people to use it for daily purposes.
