Increasing safeties and reducing accidents is always a good goal for new technology. That counts for most of the applications but as bicycles leave the riders without much protection from getting injured in accidents, it makes sense to focus on building bikes that are more stable and augment us.
The Dutch bicycle manufacturer Koninklijke Gazelle has teamed up with the TU Delft and both now work on an interesting prototype bike. The bicycle gets a smart motor built into the handlebars that can help to prevent you from falling over at a speed above 4 kilometers per hour.
