The 91st China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF) will be held in Shanghai from April 8 to 11, 2025, at the National Exhibition and Convention Center. Widely recognized as one of the largest medical device exhibitions worldwide, the event is set to host over 5,000 companies and expects more than 200,000 attendees from over 150 countries. Spanning 350,000 square meters of exhibition space, the fair is open to innovators, manufacturers, and medical professionals across the global healthcare sector.

Since its establishment in 1979, CMEF has become an important platform for international collaboration in medical technology. It facilitates the showcasing of technological breakthroughs and opportunities for academic exchange, business networking, and trend analysis. Major industry players such as GE Healthcare, Philips, Mindray, and United Imaging will be among the exhibitors.

The event highlights several key innovations, including products and technologies shaped by advancements in artificial intelligence and biomedical engineering. Among them is the uAI Avatar, an intelligent assistant designed to interface with healthcare practitioners. It aims to support clinical tasks by improving efficiency and accuracy by utilizing AI tools such as speech recognition and large medical text models.
Another featured development is the Gastric Bypass Stent System, offering a minimally invasive alternative for obesity treatment. This device mimics the effects of traditional gastric bypass procedures without altering the patient’s anatomy. Additionally, zirconia ceramic prosthetic components for hip replacements, manufactured using a novel sintering technique, will display enhanced durability and performance.

The fair will also present advancements in surgical robotics, including a multi-port endoscopic system equipped for complex level-4 procedures. Clinical tests have demonstrated its capabilities in precision remote operations.
