Accidents related to phone usage while driving or doing other activities that require sole focus make up for many deaths annually. According to the CDC, nine people in the US are killed every day because of distracted driving. For those who want to access basic features that people mostly use daily- making calls and listening to music- without necessarily taking out their phones, Chubby Buttons might be worth the try.
Featured on an episode of Shark Tank, Mike Cherkezian and Justin Barad pitched their idea of the first wearable Bluetooth remote, Chubby Buttons. Despite not getting the deal on the show, the product was launched and is available in the market today. The device might be helpful to those needing accessible and bigger buttons to control some basic functions on smartphones. As the name suggests, the buttons are made to be big enough to push on even when wearing gloves, mittens, or other protective gear.

Remote for your phone
Chubby Buttons is compatible with both iOS and Android devices and doesn’t need any app to function. Users may receive phone calls, skip and pause music, and control the volume with a push of the big buttons displayed. The device can be used even if the phone is as far as 75 feet away.

For adrenaline junkies, picking up a call while riding or skiing can be dangerous. Some workers require wearing gloves or other protective gear to do their jobs. Wearing these types of gear makes it difficult for them to do more delicate actions, like typing on their smartphone. Other times, their phone is simply out of reach. With Chubby Buttons, they can do all that without taking off their protective gear and even from afar.
The device is water resistant and can withstand drizzle and snow. This makes it beneficial for those who love extreme sports or those who work around potentially hazardous areas requiring heavy protective gear and equipment. It may also be used while hiking, rappelling, or doing other outdoor sports. Users can also utilize the remote at home while cooking or even showering.

Chubby Buttons is up for grabs at the regular price of $79.99. It comes in three colors: Patriot, Tron, and Hunter. The device also comes with an armband that can easily be strapped on by the user to their arm or on the handle of a motorbike. The product runs on a singular CR2032 battery that lasts up to four months.
