Atari-Logo-Official-Large-High-Quality-PNG-2000pxToday on the 24th of March in New York Atari announced the release of Atari Vault, a bundle of the 100 best and most iconic Atari games from the 70’s and 80’s on Steam for PC. Young gamers can now experience these classical video games without the struggle of grabbing the legendary hardware first and the gamers who already experienced these games, when they came out originally, can now play on up-to-date technology and enjoy all modern features such as online leaderboards, multiplayer modes and full controller support.

What’s in the bundle?

Are you a fan of retro gaming or do you want to check out what gaming meant before you were born? Legendary games such as Asteroids, Centipede, Missile Command, Tempest, Warlords, and many other great retro games are part of the Atari Vault bundle. You can check out the full game list, system requirements and supporting information on their steam product page.

How to get Atari Vault?

The bundle has been developed by Code Mystics and is available on Steam, which is a platform for video games on PC. You can browse their web page or download the client. Buying your games there allows you to download them on any of your PCs easily rather than bother with physical copies. If you buy Atari Vault on Steam now you can save 15% of the full price of $20. This special promotion will be available until the 31st of March. So far there is only one review on Steam, but that user gave his thumbs-up and explained how much he liked the bundle in the comments.

CEO Opinion

“Atari Vault grants convenient access to some of the most memorable titles in gaming history, and in delivering these games in their original state, it is introducing a new generation of gamers to some of the very first video games,” … “It is our hope that the same excitement people experienced in the arcades and in their homes when these titles were first introduced can now be embraced again, and that newcomers can discover what made these titles so iconic.”
― Fred Chesnais, Chief Executive Officer of Atari
