This year, ASUS unveiled its new gaming laptop with Zephyrus G14. This new notebook with everything you would expect but with a discreet image and adjustable to other uses. Whether it is to play, work or study, the most important thing about G14 is on the inside.
ASUS launched the new Zephyrus G14, a 14-inch gaming laptop with a sober, compact design. It leaves nothing more to be desired in terms of performance, bringing at least 10 hours of video playback on battery power on a light notebook.
Specs
The Taiwanese company has produced this remarkable non-touchscreen laptop under their ROG brand. The Zephyrus G14 has a 1920 x 1080 resolution to 120 Hz refresh rate, one of the new 3.2 GHz AMD Ryzen 9 4900HS processors with lower power consumption, and an RTX 2060 Max-Q graphics chip from Nvidia.
The Zephyrus G14 starts at 16GB up to 32GB, with 3,200MHz DDR4 memory which makes it a powerful media player and an excellent tool to run any game at high speed. All of this is packed into this laptop that weighs in at 3.5 lbs (1.6 kg) with a height of 17.9mm.
This is also the first ROG laptop with a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button. Aside from that, it has USB-A and C ports, audio jack, and HDMI. This can be easily charged with a compact Asus’ 180W adapter. Its battery also charges via USB-C.
Design
The most interesting this about this though is the 1,215 mini LEDs that light up on the laptop itself. Each one has a white brightness with 256 control levels, with the keyboard having less powerful lighting. However, there is no webcam which is probably the least attractive feature of Zephyrus G14.
Aesthetically, the Zephyrus G14 is unpretentious without any visual suggestion of being a gaming laptop except for the ROG acronym. Its power, processing speed, and high-quality performance are combined with an aluminum-magnesium alloy deck and a plastic base.
The chassis has a honeycomb structure with more than 6,000 holes and includes air vents on both sides. It also highlights its more innovative feature which is an air vent that also acts as an ergo-lift hinge. This pushes the keyboard up at an angle for a better airing every time you open it and provides the necessary cooling for the device. It also makes gaming and typing more comfortable.
ASUS claims this is the world’s most powerful 14-inch gaming laptop, and the Zephyrus G14 will definitely be added to the list of the most wanted gaming laptops for this year.
