Jeff Bezos has stated not dreams but visions early in his life. Changing how people shop and and using technology as early adapter to offer services has allowed Jeff to make his way in life and changing most of our’s on the route.

  • 1964: Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, U.S. as Jeffrey Preston Jorgensen
  • 1982: Student Science Training Program at the University of Florida, receiving a Silver Knight Award, while in High School
  • 1986: Bachelor of Science in Engineering in electrical engineering and computer science (Princeton University)
  • 1986: Head of Development and Director of Customer Service at start-up Fitel
  • 1988: Product Manager and later VP at Bankers Trust
  • 1990: SVP at D.E. Shaw
  • 1993: Marriage with MacKenzie Bezos (4 children)
  • 1994: Founding Amazon.com, online retail platform
  • 1997: Amazon had its IPO
  • 1999: Time – Person of the Year
  • 2000: Founding Blue Origin, a human spaceflight startup
  • 2003: Survived helicopter crash
  • 2008: U.S. News & World Report – recognised as one of America’s best leaders
  • 2008: Honorary doctorate in Science and Technology (Carnegie Mellon University)
  • 2012: Bezos and his wife personally donated $2.5 million to pass a same-sex marriage referendum in Washington
  • 2012: Bezos was named Business Person of The Year by Fortune
  • 2013: Purchase of The Washington Post, newspaper

  1. Oh yeah and that funny thing that he received an award of being the worst boss ever for treating workers inhuman. Trying to solve a union debate with the argument that they should be glad to have work because Robots are going to replace them soon is not sweet talking.
    Bezos is a visionary and I like the solutions but need to keep the working bees happy somehow… If you got Robots then bring them on and let the people develope, build and maintain them as their job.
