A Colorado-based startup called Yobybo recently made their latest X-BOAT Pro wireless earphones available for $119.00. The project was backed on Kickstarter and the shipping will begin this month.
As far as the sound is concerned, the ANC-enabled X-BOAT Pro earphones are powered by Sony’s LDAC audio technology, embracing the TWS, true wireless stereo, technology. The LDAC codecs, which is Sony’s proprietary wireless technology, and the Airoha 1564M processing chip, provide the listeners with a CD-level high-quality music experience.
The X-BOAT Pro earphones support Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity. The issue with these earbuds is not the price but the battery life. However, in that price range, its contemporaries have more to offer.

The X-BOAT Pro provides a listening time of 5 hours without ANC, and 3.5 hours with ANC. This is the battery life per charge, but the case can make the earphones run for 35 hours on multiple charges.
In any case, ANC does not make much sense for earphones that are just half-immersed in your ears. So, keeping it turned off for more playtime might make sense. The material used to build the X-BOAT Pro and charging cases is aluminum and glass. Because of its glass back, one has to be watchful of not playing with it.
What works for these buds?
The X-BOAT Pro looks premium, is built without any plastic, and the form factor is unique. The metallic colors are classy and have a half-in-ear build. The Type C to Type C connection to charge the device is a good way forward for the company.
Apart from the USB Type C cable, the box for the X-BOAT Pro includes a charging case, a guide, and of course the earphones. The company uses TPU+LCP composite diaphragm material on the in-ear speakers that is useful for bass and provides a good low and frequency response to the sound waves.

The X-BOAT Pro had a successful run with Kickstarter, however, it seems that there are some delays in shipping. Waiting customers are already apprehensive, though the company’s shipping policy states that they can guarantee delivery within 3-5 days provided that there’s an additional $15. The last update from the company was dated December 31, 2021, issuing a shipping survey to its backers. For additional concerns, they encourage people to reach out at info@yobybo.com; the team should get back to you in 24 hours.
