‘X4: Split Vendetta’ Expansion to be Playable at Gamescom 2019

-

Egosoft, the German game developer and creator of the famed X games, has recently announced some big news. According to the company, anyone interested in the first expansion for its X4: Foundations, called X4: Split Vendetta, will get a chance to play it at gamescom 2019 which will be held from August 20-24 in Cologne.

This will also be an opportunity to take a first peek at the 3.0 update. The major update is expecting its release in Q4 of 2019 which will be available for free. This is also when the new expansion will come out.

Expanding the universe

The oncoming huge new expansion, X4: Split Vendetta, will greatly expand the size of the X Universe and introduce two new Split family clans. Of course, they will bring their own realistic economy, along with new weapons, ships, and station modules into the mix.

On top of that, players will participate in exciting new missions and adventures. New gamestarts will also bring more variety to the experience in the biggest sandbox this side of the galaxy.

True to the X games’ motto “Trade, fight, build, think”, players will be able to trade with the Split families, fight them, build their own stations based on the newest modules, as well as think carefully when dealing with the new diplomatic missions.

For the uninitiated, the X series is a sci-fi space trading first-person combat simulator series set in the X Universe. It was first launched in 1999 and has since grown into a whole franchise of its own. In this complex universe, players can enjoy awesome graphics and rich content. Moreover, the games feature hundreds of space stations, thousands of ships, and a realistic economy with prices that change on the basis of supply and demand.

X4: Split Vendetta will cost at $14.99. This expansion is the first of the two that you will be able to play if you own the X4: Foundations Collector’s Edition.
