WeCreat Vision Seeks to Make Laser Engraving More Accessible

-

Technology has changed multiple industries, such as the fields of medicine, science, and robotics. Art has also seen this change; in fact, two-thirds of high-paying illustrator-related jobs today are geared toward digital art. One category of art, engraving, is also experiencing this shift.

Even if the two art forms were born around the same time, drawing and engraving had very different evolutions due to the tools needed. Since drawing didn’t require as much as craftsmanship, it was the easiest means of artistic expression for centuries. However, engraving requires skill, tools, and resources. Apart from that, only rich people could afford finely engraved items like jewelry and weapons.

When the technological advancements came, engraving remained rooted in traditional techniques as demand was still low. While some laser engravers eventually were produced, their costs were exorbitant and required high expertise. Today, we may see engravings as serial number engravings, business signs, and awards. At least to me, it never occurred that I could engrave something until new technologies like WeCreat Vision came along.

Laser engraving

WeCreat Vision is built around user-friendliness and accessibility. This laser engraver boasts many features that make the whole process smoother and easier without sacrificing innovation. The company claims the maximum engraving speed of its product at 600mm/s, while the next fastest similar device on the market only hits 160. Adding to that, it also comes with industry-leading accuracy.

With safety in mind, the WeCreat Vision includes a full fire-retardant enclosure design. This can contain fumes generated in the engraving process and an auto-stop function if anything goes wrong. The included camera can be used to witness the operations in real-time. Users can also see a demonstration of the engraving at various speeds and power settings using its QuickView Matrix.

WeCreat says its laser engraver is the world’s first to include an auto-lifting enclosure. This is important because it allows for automatically adjusting different materials, be it angle, height, or position. This fits perfectly into the vision of being user-friendly as it ensures optimal focus distance. Consequently, this produces high-quality results without the user being an expert.
