Uber Eats to Launch AI and Enhancing Payment Options

-

We’ve seen the advancements of AI and how it can improve our quality of living in areas like entertainment and work. Recently, the meal delivery service of Uber, Uber Eats, has taken a bold step to enhance its user experience by integrating AI features. The goal is to make the meal delivery process faster and have efficient service.

AI in meal deliveries

Uber Eats has been working on AI assistants for quite some time to help its customers find bargains at popular restaurants, discover new dishes, and reorder favorite meals. Some of the things that its AI chatbot will do are offer recommendations, plan meals, find better deals on groceries, and get the necessary items to manage their budget.

Uber Eats’ AI will be making use of Google’s PaLm language and the same language used in Bard. The AI will help users scout through information from the catalogs of more than 900,000 merchants. In short, it will save customers the time and effort that they usually have to scroll through all the stores and menus.

Other offerings

Its chatbot assistant also allows users to pay with other means like the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and EBT in Uber Eats. It is also working with Managed Medicaid and Medicare Advantage to help users use FSA Cards, Flex Cards, and other relevant waiver payment options in the app. Certain payment methods are going to be available at the beginning of 2024.

Initially, users from the UK, US, and Canada are going to have these features after its launch in 2024. Uber Eats will also have a section of special offers called Sales Aisle where users can quickly access curated options. It consists of various promos and deals so customers can find them without any hassle of long searches.

Implementing these new features in Uber Eats will improve user convenience and experience in the competitive meal delivery market. The payment methods will simplify the usage and people can get used to new ways to get access to healthy foods.
