Stay Organized and Track Habits with the Tappsk App

-

These days, we’re busier than ever. Many of us juggle full-time jobs, side hustles, parenting, and relationships, and we also have to ensure our medical appointments are attended to, the rent is paid on time, and our houseplants aren’t on the brink of death. Not to mention, we have to remember to keep up with good habits, like our 5-a-day, or yoga classes.

There are many to-do list apps out there, free and freemium alike. I chose Tappsk to keep up with my busy life – and here is why.

Never miss your routine tasks

The Tappsk iOS app functions as a combination of a to-do list and a habit tracker. It allows you to create one-off tasks, and customizable recurring events and habits.

For instance, if you need to wash towels and water the plants every three days, you can create a recurring event, give it a category (Home, or routine, for example), and set it so that it’s repeated every three days. Same with paying rent or mortgage – set up the recurring event and notification, if you need one.

As a writer and an entrepreneur, I work with different clients and have a routine I like to follow when developing my venture. The different-color categories like “Home”, “Routine”, “Work” or “Ideas” help me sort the tasks with no fuss or confusion. And the subtasks allow me to break down the complex tasks I need to do in an efficient manner and make me feel more productive when I tick off all of them.

Customization and habits

I find the customized scheduling and the categories very convenient because, for me, not all tasks have to be completed weekly, daily or monthly. For example, I set up “water the plants” to occur every four days, and “water the succulents” every 3 weeks, because my succulents don’t need too much water, but I can easily forget to give them water altogether.

If you, like me, struggle to remember to drink the required amount of water per day, you can set up a habit by choosing “drink water” from the list of habits and set how many reminders per day you need. You can click the “plus” icon every time you drink water per day, and you’ll get encouraging messages at the top of the screen.
