Samsung Electronics, in collaboration with Niio, announced the launch of an open art competition. The competition called “Samsung The Wall x Niio Art Awards” is open for both new and established artists. The purpose of this competition is to discover and promote the most inspiring digital art from all around the world.
Internationally exhibit at Samsung’s The Wall
Artists who join in the competition will get a chance to get internationally exhibited and recognized. The judges of this competition are looking for works that show originality, details, and creativity.
While getting recognition is already a prize in itself, the artists get a chance to win up to $15,000 prizes in cash. This competition will take place in ten locations around the world, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and Singapore. The winner will also get invited to attend Samsung’s The Wall showroom that will take place in May.
New ways to make premium content as impactful as possible
Hyesung Ha, Senior Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, said that Samsung is always looking out for ways to help produce art as impactful as possible. Through this, they also want to take the users’ experience to the next level.
The purpose of the competition is to celebrate digital art with talents around the world that contribute to the arts. The Wall is a great opportunity for every artist to show their works and be part of the next generation of display experiences. In this way, each contribution will play a huge role in the process of spreading the Wall.
On the other side, CEO of Niio Rob Anders expressed his thrill in announcing the partnership with Samsung. This collaboration will allow artists from all over the world to show their creations. The Wall also serves as a unique canvas that offers artists a new avenue to contribute their art in. Furthermore, Samsung and Niio’s plans don’t stop there – after May, as they believe, the Wall will change the way that digital art is recognized in the world.
Niio is an innovation in the world of digital art. It is a premium platform for new media art, an avenue that can test the capabilities of Samsung’s MicroLED displays. This platform includes providing access to new video and media art through its technology.
