Nintendo Launches New Mobile Game ‘Dragalia Lost’ This Month

-

The mobile industry has contributed a lot to the gaming thanks to the many developers releasing their games on smartphones. Big companies such as Square Enix have also entered the fray with their famous IPs, and it’s no wonder that Nintendo joins in as well.

Nintendo has joined up with Cygames to create an entirely new real-time battle action RPG titled Dragalia Lost set to be launched on September 27, 2018. According to Doug Bowser, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, the game is a “vibrant action role-playing game perfectly complement[ing] our other mobile games, while also offering something completely new.” A mobile direct has been released on August 29, 2018, debuting the details on the game itself.

Dragons and adventurers

This game immerses players in a fantastical world as they play as the Seventh Royal Prince from the Kingdom of Alberia. The prince gains help from the Windwyrm named Midgardsorm to protect the kingdom. Journey through the game and form pacts with other dragons to aid you. However, pacts made with other dragons would prove difficult as you would need to prove your worth. With their help, your character will be able to shapeshift into a dragon and become more powerful against strong enemies.

Gameplay footage

Create a team of four adventurers to help you along the journey that can also shapeshift into dragons. Adventurers have different unit types: attack, defense, support, and healing units. They have different elements that may make or break your game. Even the weapons have certain characteristics that can help with defeating enemies. The game has more than 60 different adventurers, which helps diversify the game altogether with various customizations. Aside from that, you can also choose to team up with 3 other players in multiplayer mode.

Pre-registration

A pre-registration campaign has been made as well for promotion of Dragalia Lost with a gift of in-game currency called wymites. If a total of 500,000 people pre-register for the game, all players will get 1,500 wyrmites.

The Dragalia Lost is available on both iOS and Android and will be available soon. Players can also opt to pre-register using their Nintendo Account, so feel free to register now.
