Mighty Vibe: Play Spotify and Amazon Music without a Phone

-

Back when music was starting to go digital, we had Apple’s iPod among many other mp3 players that didn’t stick around. As a confessed melomaniac, I’ve had my fair share of speakers, headphones, and earphones. Back in college, I used to carry my iPod shuffle every day on my commute. Now, music is accessible on any mobile device. In fact, as an adult, my Spotify playlist is always in the background while I drive to work.

Despite the convenience of a playlist on your phone, having a dedicated portable device for audio has not gone obsolete. One example is Mighty Audio’s Mighty Vibe which resembles Apple’s iPod shuffle. Measuring 38 x 38 x 19.5mm with a simple design, it’s perfect for the melophile minimalist. The device is IPX4 rated, making it splash-waterproof.

Listening on the go

The Mighty Audio app is available on iOS and Android and allows you to sync the Mighty Vibe with Spotify and Amazon Music. Once your playlist is synced to the device, you can just drop your phone, press play on the device, and go. An internet connection is not required to listen, as the content is stored offline. This means that you can still listen to music even in areas without WiFi. The device can hold over 1,000 songs and stories. It has a playback time of over 5 hours, plenty to keep you occupied.

A dedicated audio device can reduce some of the inconveniences that a phone may have when listening to your favorite playlist. First off, having a good workout with your phone can be a bit clunky. Carrying your phone during a run might eventually add to the weight, even with an armband to help you out, and can be a distraction. Since the Mighty Vibe is a device you can clip on that doesn’t need an internet connection, you don’t need to bring your phone around.

This portable device can be used not only during everyday workouts. You can also use it while hiking or even when you just simply want to go offline. Aside from that, kids can also use the Mighty Vibe. The device doesn’t have a screen which means that it can help limit screen time for kids.

The device is ideal for those who simply want to have access to their music, audiobook, or podcast while on the go. If you want to try it out, the Mighty Vibe is available starting at $119.99 in four colors: Zazzy Black, Gully Blue, Mooshu Red, and Shamrock Green.
