Mentimeter is a presentation app that has been around since 2012. However, it is not until the height of the pandemic in 2020 that it gained significant attention from the public. The app allows you to create and deliver interactive presentations, polls, and more in real time. It can also be used for meetings and other collaborations.
How does Mentimeter work?
Introduced by its four founders namely Johnny Wartström, Nikla Ingvar, Henrik Fräsén, and Kristoffer Renholm, Mentimeter is designed to help users create presentations with lesser time and effort. The presentation app features predesigned templates for polls, quizzes, Q&As, and word clouds. During the presentation, the audience or the voters can answer or cast their votes using any Internet–connected device. This makes Mentimeter ahead of other presentation software and tools. Unlike the leading presentation software, Microsoft PowerPoint, Mentimeter allows audience participation and lets them have input into the presentation in real-time.
Mentimeter is an accessible app that is available for use online or through the app. Users may also integrate it with other digital platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Hopin, and PowerPoint. Furthermore, it offers expert-led webinars and courses for more in-depth training on using Mentimeter’s features and tools.
Cost of Mentimeter
At present, Mentimeter is available in free and paid versions. The free version allows users to create unlimited presentations for unlimited audience members. However, it only allows users to create two questions per slide and a total of five quiz slides. On the other hand, Mentimeter’s paid version comes in two plans namely the Basic Plan and the Pro Plan. The Basic Plan costs $9.99 a month. It allows users to create unlimited questions and complete additional tasks like importing presentations and exporting results data to Excel.
Meanwhile, the Pro Plan costs $24.99 per month. This plan gives users the freedom to co-edit presentations with their team members and adds the company logo and branding to the slides. It has advanced features that can help businesses in a hybrid environment or completely remote work setup to develop digitally engaging professional presentations and campaigns.
