Logitech G Adaptive Gaming Kit Creates New Possibilities for Gamers with Disabilities

-

Gaming is probably one of the easiest hobbies one may have. Compared to hobbies like sports, or learning a musical instrument, gaming can be a cake-walk. A relaxing escape for a person to be able to have fun and pass their time. However, even this task can be a very difficult ordeal for people with physical disabilities.

And this ordeal is now being tackled by numerous organizations ranging from charities like the Game Changers to Microsoft and even Logitech. The release of the Logitech G Adaptive Gaming Kit hopes to tackle disabilities and create an alternative pathway for gamers to be able to enjoy their hobbies regardless of their physical ability.

What is it?

The Logitech G Adaptive Gaming Kit lets gamers play the way that’s most suitable for them by providing a set of controls that are easily configured to a wide variety of use cases. It features a large assortment of buttons and triggers with gaming-grade components for performance and durability, manufactured to the highest standard, at a price point that is far more accessible than what is on the market today.

The gaming kit itself features numerous buttons, triggers, and light touch buttons. It also has hook and loop pads to attach them to. The kit comes with a rigid and flexible hook and loop pad allowing it to be placed on a wide variety of surfaces. The Logitech G Adaptive Gaming Kit comes with two large buttons, two variable triggers, and four light touch buttons.

It also comes with decal sheets so that the buttons can be individually labeled as per requirement. It was designed in collaboration with Microsoft’s Inclusive Tech Lab, AbleGamers, Mount Sanai’s Abilities Research Center, and SpecialEffect to ensure that it would be the perfect Kit for users with a wide range of disabilities.

Price and Availability

The Logitech Adaptive Gaming Kit goes hand-in-hand with the Xbox Adaptive Controller which was announced by Microsoft last year. The controller was meant to be a customizable input method for gamers with disabilities. It featured two large buttons and a traditional D-pad with numerous ports allowing users to connect the attachment that fits their needs.

The Logitech G Adaptive Gaming Kit is available for purchase on LogitechG.com and through select Microsoft retail stores for $99.99. In order to use the kit, you must have the Xbox Adaptive Controller which is available on Xbox.com.
