Forget a boring meal out, time to really impress at your next work event!
Whether you are entertaining clients and business partners, or treating employees to a team outing, it can be hard to find something that everybody will enjoy. Do you go for the tried and tested meal out? Or go for something a little bit more fun? If you want to make a real impression, it’s best to opt for the latter!
Although it can be tricky to decide what kind of entertainment you want to provide for your guests, you certainly want to make sure everyone has a good time. The best thing to do is find out beforehand what kind of entertainment is most suited to the group, and then get booking to make sure you don’t have to stress about finding an event closer to the time. Here are some ideas to get you started.
If you’re looking for a laugh
Taking your team or business partners to a comedy night is a great idea as it means less small talk, and you can all repeat your favourite one-liners in the bar afterwards. Try to avoid smaller clubs where you risk getting singled out in the audience, and opt for someone you know. Going for a bigger name means you know what to expect, so you won’t be left cringing in silence as the comedian desperately tries to drum up some laughs. Check out big hitters like Michael McIntyre for plenty of work appropriate giggles.
If you want to entertain some sports fans
If your whole team is sports mad, or you suspect your guests are itching to head to the stadium, buying tickets to a big game is ideal. You can all bond over support for your local side and all the action on the pitch will entertain everyone.
When it comes to football, as good as it is to support local teams, it needs to be premier league if you really want to impress. To take it one step further, consider booking a box to up the wow factor.
It’s not just football either; you can arrange tickets to the grand prix, a rugby matches, horse racing, major tennis tournaments, with packages available to ensure you don’t have to worry about anything on the actual day.
If you want to have a good old sing-along
This one comes with some prior knowledge about what your employees or business guests like in the way of music. There’s no point in splashing out on tickets to see Mötley Crüe when everyone would rather be enjoying the hits of Britney Spears. Saying that, plenty of big names have broad appeal, like Madonna and U2, and there are few people who would pass up the chance to see these stars strutting their stuff.
If you want to see a smack down
This might not be the most conventional work night out, but how about a night watching WWE? Wrestling comes with all the adrenalin and action you could ask for, along with a few laughs and plenty of drama. It’ll make a lasting impression, of that you can be sure!
If you want to stick to the tried and tested meal with colleagues, that’s fine, but with so much more of offer, why pass up on a chance to really impress?
