Graphic editors for vector format files are programs used to create or modify graphic images. Vector images are composed of paths, which are defined by points and curves. Vector graphics are often used because they can be scaled to any size without losing quality, and they can be edited easily.
Photoshop and GIMP are the two commonly used software programs for editing graphic files. These tools work wonders for photo editing and creating raster-based graphics; however, you will need a vector format like EPS or SVG when working with scalable images. Raster files (JPG or PNG) can become distorted at certain resolutions, so it’s always best to use a vector file when possible.
What are some good vector editors?
Did you know that these vector graphic editors help you to work on more advanced graphical tasks? In this context, I shortlisted my favorite graphic editors for vector format.

Krita is an open-source raster graphics editor that not only provides users with vector tools but also allows for the creation of vector graphic files. With this capability, you can now layer your vectors and drawings to create special shapes–all according to your preferences. You can even use the calligraphy or text tool to make unique vectors that look like brushstrokes or other desired shapes.
The Krita solution recently switched from ODG to the more widely-used SVG format in order to improve compatibility with vector graphic files. In addition, you can now use any online PNG to SVG converter to quickly and easily convert your PNG files into SVG format.
