Microsoft Researches Hyperlapse Media Processing [Video]

-

If you like ego-perspective videos, like the ones you can record with a GoPro camera or with the Google Glass but felt the quality was a little off, this might be interesting for you. The Microsoft Research team that works on the Hyperlapse solution for media processing consists of Johannes Kopf, Michael Cohen and Richard Szeliski. They are using scene reconstruction, proxy geometry, stitching and blending frame processing methods in order to make your videos more smooth and it gives them a special feeling. Microsoft offers apps on several platforms for you to try this out. Also feel free to check the Hyperlapse channel out on YouTube for more cool videos. If you are looking for technical and scientific details feel free to check out the research page with a lot of resources.
