Watch the Kilobots Swarm (Not Nanobots) Form Shapes [Video]

Night mode

Remember the Replicators from the science-fiction series Stargate SG1? Well, we aren’t that advanced yet but we are slowly getting there. Check out these tiny robots, called Kilobots, that work together in order to accomplish shared goals. In this particular video below, from the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences of Harvard University, the robots have received the task to form a shape and that’s just what they do. Okay, they take 10 hours to do it but speed is subject to technologic development only. Very interesting project!
