Red Dead Redemption is Rockstar’s “other” legendary series, but unlike GTA has only had the single console airing on PS3 and Xbox 360. After years of watching the tumbleweed drift past, it looks like a sequel is finally on the way for PS4 and Xbox One gamers.
Several tweets from the developers today hint at a new game with the western art of the latest one pretty much confirming what everyone had hoped, and sending the gaming side of the Internet into an over-excited meltdown. The tweet garnered 65,000+ likes in just a few hours.
The 2010 original has a 95% rating on Metacritic and is one of the most loved games from the last generation. Imagine a full series of county towns and outposts rendered by the Grand Theft Auto V engine and posses of heroes, robbers, rustlers and villains ranging between them, should be pretty dang impressive!

Diablo 4 finally to be announced?
Another game likely to get another outing soon is a further sequel in the very legendary Diablo series. The first two games sold many millions of copies each, helping cement Blizzard’s legend. Diablo III widened its scope, heading out to tackle evil on console.
A fourth game might bring the series out of Blizzard’s spells and traps comfort zone, with company veteran David Brevik tweeting the following:

Hopefully, that’s a move to more visceral magic and action, and not the game being lumbered with more World of Warcraft style features.
