Robin Li is co-founder of the Chinese Search-Engine and eCommerce giant Baidu. Interested in computer sciences since high school he pursued knowledge in universities and finding practical experiences in Silicon Valley – all that to found Baidu and taking it to the major league of technology organisations in only a few years.

- 1999: Watching a feature interview of Jerry Yang (Yahoo! founder) in Stanford University, which inspired him to found Baidu and the thought was “pushed” by wife Melissa
- 2000: Founding Baidu, being chairman (Co-founder Eric Xu was CEO and resigned in 2004, handing the CEO title to Robin)
- 2005: Baidu became a NASDAQ-listed public company
- 2007: Baidu is first Chinese company to be included in the NASDAQ-100 Index
- 2013: Member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference
